Online Meal Payments

Meal Payments, Meal Charging

Dining Services operates a debit account system which allows parents to prepay for meals, milk and/or snacks. Parents/Guardians are expected to prepay and not allow the account to become past due. Please send payments in an envelope clearly marked with student’s full name and teacher's name (especially at GMS).  We will gladly split the amount sent in among different family members if it is indicated on the envelope, or check. Checks should be made payable to Litchfield School District.  Students can also make deposits into their account during breakfast or lunch.

Meal Payments

There are three ways to put money onto student's meal accounts.
  1. Send in cash.
  2. Send in a check - Made out to Litchfield School District
  3. Create an online payment account at www.k12paymentcenter.com  **There is a service fee for payments made through k12paymentcenter.**
    1. Use your child's student ID number (which on powerschool is their STUDENT NUMBER) to create an account.
    2. You can set up low balance and automatic payments through k12 as well.

Meal Charging:

All students must pay for meals from Litchfield Dining Services.  All information regarding meal charging can be found
in Policy EFAA, Food Services Meal Charging.   Each student enrolled in the Litchfield School District has a lunch account, and a lunch PIN number they enter when purchasing meals from the cafeteria.  There is not a sign up to purchase meals from the cafeteria, it is open to everyone in the Litchfield School District.

No student will ever be denied a meal regardless of balance.  Dining services makes every effort to inform parent/guardians about their student's meal account balance.  Low and Negative Balance notifications are sent out weekly at minimum via our Meal System, Meals+.  Students that have a negative balance greater than -$15.00 will be provided a choice of alternative meal until the account is a positive standing.

Students with a negative balance are not permitted to charge any a la carte, snacks, drinks, or second lunches.  Any cash payments received during that time go to producing a positive balance first.

Please see our FAQ for the definitions of a Meal and A La Carte items.
